About the Authors
Douglas H Evans graduated from California State University at Los Angeles and is currently a Fire Protection Engineer with the Clark County (Nevada) Building Department. He is the author of Guide to the 1997 UBC Smoke-control Provisions: An Illustrative Commentary, and has written articles on smoke control and other aspects of fire protection.
Dr John H Klote, PE, graduated from George Washington University and currently runs his own consulting firm in the Washington, DC, area. An internationally recognized authority on smoke management, Dr Klote is the author of Design of Smoke-Management Systems, and Principles of Smoke Management, as well as more than 80 papers and articles on smoke control and other aspects of fire protection engineering.
