The 2009 International Existing Building Code contains requirements intended to encourage the use and reuse of existing buildings. The scope covers repair, alteration, addition and change of occupancy for existing buildings and historic buildings, while achieving appropriate levels of safety without requiring full compliance with the new construction requirements in the building code.
The 2009 International Existing Building Code provides up-to-date, comprehensive coverage that establishes minimum regulations for building systems using prescriptive- and performance-related provisions. It is fully compatible with all of the codes in the 2009 International Codes Series.
This code is also available in looseleaf or as part of the Complete Collection.
Commentaries and handbooks, study guides, extended indexes and tabs are also available for the 2009 International Codes. |
