The provisions of the 2009 International Fuel Gas Code apply to the installation of fuel gas piping systems, fuel gas utilization equipment, gaseous hydrogen systems, and related accessories.
Note that detached one- and two-family dwellings, and multiple-family dwellings (such as townhouses) that are not more than three stories in height and have a separate means of egress must comply with the requirements of the 2009 International Residential Code.
