From the Preface
This is the 1999 Accumulative Supplement to the 1997 editions of the International Plumbing Code and International Private Sewage Disposal Code and the 1999 Supplement to the International Mechanical Code (1998 edition), International Fuel Gas Code (1997 edition), International Energy Conservation Code, International Property Maintenance Code and International Zoning Code, 1998 editions. Vertical lines in the margin to the International Plumbing Code and International Private Sewage Disposal Code indicate items that were changed from the 1998 Supplement to the International Plumbing Code and International Private Sewage Disposal Code. It contains changes approved by the memberships of Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.; the International Conference of Building Officials; and Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., at their annual meetings held in September and October 1997 and 1998.

This supplement is prepared in a form which permits ready adoption by reference and convenient use. A suggested form of an adoption ordinance is found on page vii. Through the adoption of the International Plumbing Code, International Private Sewage Disposal Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Property Maintenance Code and International Zoning Code and this document, jurisdictions will have the benefit of the latest developments in building regulations.
