About the Authors
Truman C Surbrook is a professor of Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan, a registered Professional Engineer, and Master Electrician. He has developed an Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Michigan State University, and has served as chair for curriculum development for a statewide electrical inspector training short course. Dr Surbrook has also developed a highly successful and comprehensive National Electrical Code training course through Lifelong Education Programs of Michigan State University.
Jonathon R Althouse is an instructor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He is a licensed Master Electrician. Jonathon teaches courses on electrical wiring and electrical machines, as well as automation and controls. He is also the program advisor for the electrical Apprenticeship Program at Michigan State University.
