Although the 2009 International Building Code has its own index, you may, in some cases need to know the specific location of a code requirement that is not listed. If you are familiar with the International Building Code, you probably know what main heading a particular item falls under in the code. If not, you could waste valuable time hunting for it.
The Extendex is an extended index that tells you the section of the 2009 International Building Code where an item is covered. To use the Extendex, simply look up the subject you need, then turn to the 2009 International Building Code chapter or section number listed for that subject in the right-hand column. |
