About the Authors
Stephen and Janelle Diller grew up in construction families. Stephen is a fourth generation contractor, and Janelle is a communication and project manager for a large hi-tech firm. Together, they have grown their small remodeling company into a thriving construction company, specializing in light commercial projects. As they watched other construction companies come and go, they realized they had a depth of knowledge in their trade that others lacked. Their background and experience in construction, along with Janelle's writing and teaching skills, led to the creation of this encyclopedia. It's a compilation of years of notes, detailed instructions, drawings and diagrams used to train others in their field. Now it's available in book form to share with their fellow builders and those just starting out in the trades, as well as those outside the construction industry who want to know about how it all goes together. |
