This complete set of eight codes includes the following on CD-ROM:

• Building Code of New York State. Based on the 2000 International Building Code and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes, the New York Building Code features time-tested safety concepts, updated means of egress and interior finish requirements, comprehensive roof provisions, seismic engineering provisions, innovative construction technology, revamped structural provisions, reorganized occupancy classifications, and the latest industry standards in material design.
• Residential Code of New York State. Based on the 2000 International Residential Code and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes, the New York Residential Code has been updated to reflect the latest technological advances in building design and construction and is a companion to the Building Code. Among the technical changes are new provisions for prescriptive steel framing and energy criteria. This code also contains plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas provisions that coordinate with the Plumbing Code, Mechanical Code and Fuel Gas Code.
• Fire Code of New York State. The New York Fire Code is based on the 2000 International Fire Code and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes. This Fire Code has been developed by a broad-based committee of fire chiefs, fire marshals, and members of the fire service/protection industry. The Fire Code extends far beyond maintenance and contains regulations relating to the construction of buildings and facilities. Topics addressed in the code include fire department access, fire hydrants, automatic sprinkler systems, fire-alarm systems, fire and explosion hazards safety, hazardous materials storage and use, provisions to protect and assist first responders, industrial processes, and fire-safety requirements for new and existing buildings and premises.
• Plumbing Code of New York State. Based on the 2000 International Plumbing Code and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes, the New York Plumbing Code presents consistent requirements that provide comprehensive regulation of plumbing systems, setting minimum regulations for plumbing facilities in terms of both performance and prescriptive objectives. The Plumbing Code provides for the acceptance of new and innovative products, materials and systems. Features 14 chapters and appendices covering all major topics, including water sizing, vent sizing, and drain waste.
• Mechanical Code of New York State. Based on the 2000 International Mechanical Code, the Mechanical Code for the State of New York was formally adopted by the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council on March 6, 2002.
• Fuel Gas Code of New York State. The New York Fuel Gas Code is based on the 2000 International Fuel Gas Code and 2001 Supplement to the International Codes. The Fuel Gas Code addresses the design and installation of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances through requirements that emphasize performance. The Fuel Gas Code is designed to meet these needs by addressing code provisions that safeguard public health and safety in communities both large and small. The code incorporates the text of a fuel gas "standard" into a comprehensive, integrated code.
• Property Maintenance Code of New York. The New York Property Maintenance Code is based on the 2000 International Property Maintenance Code. The Property Maintenance Code for the State of New York was formally adopted by the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council on March 6, 2002.
• New York Energy Conservation Construction Code. Based on the 2000 International Energy Conservation Code, the Energy Conservation Construction Code for the State of New York were formally adopted by the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council on March 6, 2002.
