  • From the Author:
Today the electrical industry has grown to enormous size and complexity. An electrician is not just the psychomotive product of on-the-job-training, it must also include the cognitive skill of understanding the behavior of electricity. The problem I see happening today with taking an exam is the applicant has the psychomotive skills, such as installing the electrical equipment, but lacks the important knowledge of the scientific behavior of electricity. The electrical exam today is based on one's cognitive knowledge more so than psychomotive skills.

There are no short cuts to education, it will continue throughout your career in the electrical industry. As Will Rogers stated, "You can't come back from someplace you've never been." This book will take you there, it's up to you to understand it. It may require additional study of other books. But this book will let you know where you stand with the cognitive part of the exam.

This book has 365 questions, one for each day of the year. Taking one question at a time and understand the answer before proceeding to the next question is the key to learning. Don't try to take a short cut or memorize all the answers. Study it one question at a time. Remember, a person cannot take in or swallow the food of a whole month in one meal.

If you've done the work properly, then you simply can't fail!
