From the Foreword
More than a book of letters, this is a useful and practical tool every professional should have. Use these templates to expand into new markets and impress your clients by the efficiency of your communication and record keeping. BNi Business Letters for the Construction Industry is the perfect companion for BNi Manual of Procedures and Form Book.

Construction professionals are part of a project-based industry in which a system of accurate records is essential for survival. However, there has been a lack of attention to properly and accurately keep a written record of communication between clients, architects, subcontractors and trades people. This deficiency has resulted in costly problems that range from misunderstood winning bids to losing clients for lack of response. In some cases, the problem can escalate to litigation. Having the proper letter format and intent is critical to creating a successful system of communication involving all the participants of this complicated business.

This book is divided into four main chapters: Letters to Clients, Letters to Field Professionals, Industry Support Letters, and Letters to Personnel. The letter section of this book is composed of two sheets per letter. The first page (even-numbered page) describes the Letter Type, Recipient, Letter Subject, and Letter Scenario. It also offers a comprehensive list of BNi-Form references that may be used in relation to each scenario. The second page (odd-numbered page) is the actual letter template. The letters are categorized by Letter Type. Each type covers a wide range of realistic scenarios that are exclusive to the construction industry.
