This book of ASTM standards is part of a series of the International Codes Referenced Standards which has been published to assist with code compliance through adoption of the International Codes. The International Codes and their referenced standards are designed to work together as a complete regulatory package.
The ASTM Standards as Referenced in the 2006 International Building Code contains those ASTM standards referenced in Chapter 35 of the 2006 International Building Code (IBC). Section 102.4 of the IBC specifies the use of referenced codes and standards.
This publication was developed as a joint effort between the International Code Council and ASTM International to assist the code user by compiling all ASTM standards adopted by reference in the International Building Code into a single, easy-to-use resource. It also provides a way for code users to cost-effectively obtain many of the standards referenced in the International Codes.
This publication does not include the 2006 International Building Code. It is the ASTM Standards which are referenced in the 2006 International Building Code only.
