This book was developed to provide a handy, easy-to-use ready reference for electrical estimators, contractors, electricians, and the apprentice in-training. Its durable spiral-back design and size lends itself to ease of use both as a desk reference and as an electrician's tool box handy reference.
Included are the latest standard symbols for use on blueprints and other electrical drawings that are commonly provided for the installation of equipment or special systems.
Basic Instrumentation data symbols and calculations are included for applicable PE and EP controls.
It contains many formulae: both commonly used everyday formulas and other electrical formulas that may be used less frequently. You'll also find the most commonly used branch circuit, feeder, and service mathematical calculations examples, and frequently used National Electrical Code tables have been updated based on the 2008 National Electrical Code. Quick approximation "rule of thumb" calculations are included for use where exact calculations are not required. A new chapter on motor and transformer mathematical calculations examples has been added, as well as new content on conduit threading and conduit and tubing bending rules, calculations, and tips, and applicable National Electrical Code tables. The worker safety chapter includes emergency first-aid tips, OSHA rules, and NFPA 70E Employee Safety Work Practice.
