This two-volume set Commentary on the 2007 Florida Residential Code provides the most comprehensive analysis of the code requirements applicable to residential construction in the State of Florida. The 2007 Florida Residential Code for residential construction has been updated from the 2004 Florida Residential Code using the 2006 International Residential Code as the basis, with Florida-specific Amendments. The new 2007 Florida Residential Code is a stand-alone prescriptive code for one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses not exceeding three stories in height. It contains many new provisions and many significant changes from the 2004 Florida Residential Code. This commentary is an essential reference in understanding these new provisions.
The commentary series is presented in an easy-to-understand format. Every chapter begins with "General Comments" and "Purpose" sections followed by code and commentary to subsequent sections, tables and figures.
