The 2006 International Energy Conservation Code is designed to provide up-to-date energy conservation provisions for both residential and commercial construction. The code addresses building envelope requirements for thermal performance and air leakage, as well as the installation of energy efficient mechanical, lighting, and power systems. It provides regulations that will help result in the optimal utilization of fossil fuels and nondepletable resources.
