The 2006 International Residential Code Study Companion is a comprehensive self-study guide for the 2006 International Residential Code for One- and Two- Family Dwellings. The Study Companion's 18 study sessions provide practical learning assignments. All study sessions contain specific learning objectives, applicable code text and commentary, illustrations and a list of questions summarizing key points for study. A 35-question quiz is provided at the end of each study session enabling you to test your knowledge of the material. An answer key indicates the correct response and reference for each of the 630 total questions.
The 2006 International Residential Code Study Companion is also valuable for instructor-led programs. In jurisdicational training sessions, community college classes, vocational training programs and other structured educational offerings, the study guide and the 2006 International Residential Code provide an excellent basis for classroom instruction.
About the Author
This study companion was developed by Douglas W Thornburg AIA CBO, technical director of Product Development for the International Code Council. In addition to authoring numerous educational texts and resource materials, he instructs seminars nationally on both the International Residential Code and International Building Code. Mr Thornburg has over 25 years of experience in the application and enforcement of building codes. |
