The 2006 International Existing Building Code Appendix A: Code and Commentary for Seismic Retrofit of Existing Buildings presents guideline text and commentary for each guideline section, both essential to the accurate and complete understanding and application of the 2006 International Existing Building Code. Appendix A. It is a valuable and reliable reference for all those involved in the evaluation, design, construction and regulation of existing buildings.
The five chapters cover important and critical information for the retrofit, strengthening and hazard reduction of existing buildings and building components most susceptible to damage - or even collapse - in seismic events.
