The City of Seattle Building Code consists of the 2003 International Building Code and City of Seattle amended language fully integrated into a City of Seattle Building Code binder.
The City of Seattle Department of Planning and Development has developed this new code in cooperation with the volunteer Construction Codes Advisory Board.
The City of Seattle Building Code is the 2003 International Building Code as adopted and amended by the City of Seattle. Changes from the International Building Code are indicated by lines through text that has been deleted by the City of Seattle, and underlining of text that has been added by the City of Seattle. The City of Seattle Building Code also includes provisions of the Washington State Building Codes. Where text originates from the Washington State Code, it is preceded by the letter designation [W].
