| The Ohio Plumbing Code (OAC 4101:3-1 to -13) is based on the 2000 International Plumbing Code, published by ICC. It has been amended to conform to Ohio law, and governs plumbing in buildings constructed under the Ohio Building Code, including materials, quality, engineering practices, drainage and sewer systems.
About the 2000 International Plumbing Code:
Developed by the International Code Council, the International Plumbing Code provides consistent requirements that can be used across the country to provide comprehensive regulation of plumbing systems. Setting minimum regulations for plumbing facilities in terms of both performance and prescriptive objectives, the IPC provides for the acceptance of new and innovative products, materials and systems. Features 14 chapters and appendices covering all major topics, including water sizing, vent sizing and drain waste.
